Within the project, we're developing AI models for predictive anomaly detection, helping operators identify unusual network behaviour early, understand why it has been flagged, and respond before small issues become larger problems. Our work focuses on making AI-driven network management more trustworthy, explainable, and practical for real-world 6G deployments.
Safeguarded AI for Energy Savings in Radio Access Networks
In partnership with the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), we developed an AI engine that generates high-fidelity synthetic network data. At the core of this is a GAN-based model and analytical tools and that simulate realistic mobile network behaviour over time. This removes data-sharing barriers, enables fair benchmarking, and supports privacy-preserving collaboration, demonstrating that AI can safely operate in a critical infrastructure.
ORIGAMI - Optimised Resource Integration and Global Architecture for Mobile Infrastructure for 6G
We’re shaping the future of 6G together with the ORIGAMI Project through a global architecture that fuses compute, communication, and security. 6G must support billions of devices with near-zero latency, predictive energy management, and open, interoperable infrastructure, demands 5G cannot meet. ORIGAMI builds the architectural foundation that makes this possible. As part of this work, we’re deploying energy-saving AI models into commercial RICs to enable real-world network optimisation.
ETHER - sElf-evolving terrestrial/non-Terrestrial Hybrid nEtwoRks
As part of the Horizon Europe ETHER project, we helped design next-generation architectures that integrate terrestrial and satellite networks, enabling global coverage with lower energy consumption through AI-driven resource intelligence. Within this, we designed and implemented predictors for satellite link status and overall network performance.
